In his first solo exhibition in the UK, Qiu Zhijie (b. 1969 Zhangzhou, China) occupies the whole of Talbot Rice Gallery’s historic Georgian Gallery with new series of ink-paintings and an atmospheric installation evoking an archaeological dig. Qiu’s practice embraces calligraphy, poetry, teaching, criticism and curating and as a thinker, and cartographer he has earned worldwide critical recognition for his concept and practice of ‘total art’. Through this approach he brings together different cultures and knowledge-systems to propose alternative worldviews.

AYE Gallery presents the latest solo exhibition featuring new works by Mu Boyan, which is scheduled to be unveiled on 20 November, 2022. The artist has altered the established stereotype of defining “an image” by getting rid of redundant expression, while his portrayal methods tend to be simplified.

On November 12th, 2022, “the Fourth IAPA Printmaking Biennale”, hosted by the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Yunnan Arts University, International Academic Printmaking Alliance, International Academy Printmaking Alliance and International Printmaking Institute of CAFA, and organized by Yunnan Arts University, kicked off at the Kunming Museum in Yunnan Province, China. The Biennale features over 300 artworks from more than 20 countries.

The first Beijing Art and Technology Biennale featuring 50 artists, scientists and ecologists from across the world opened in Beijing last Friday, aiming to discuss issues related to coexistence between human and nature.

Artist Kiki Smith, Tomas Vu, Director of LeRoy Neiman Center for Print Studies in the School of the Arts at Columbia University, and Xinyi Liu (online), curator of “A Journey Through Printmaking: International Printmaking Art Exhibition”; Wang Chunchen, Deputy Director of CAFA Art Museum, presided over the ceremony.

The exhibition BUNDLES OF ENERGY-- TORBJØRN KVASBØS CERAMIC ART of the renowned Norwegian ceramic artist Torbjørn Kvasbø opens at the Art Museum of the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) on October 25 2022. This exhibition focuses on the artistic creation and thinking of the artist in the past decade, and presents 23 works with "pipe" and "pile" as the basic modeling elements. This is Kvasbø 's first solo exhibition in China and the first stop of his China tour. The exhibition will then be exhibited at the Ceramic Art Avenue Art Gallery in Jingdezhen in the spring of 2023.

In the special competition of Worldskills Competition of 2022, Li Ning, a teacher from Central Academy of Fine Arts, led the Chinese fashion technology team to fight for four days and 18 hours consecutively, complete the four competition modules of fashion design, pattern and layout, draping, women’s clothes design and construction, and finally win the gold with the advantage of a large score, thus realizing the three successive championships of the fashion technology project in the Worldskills Competition, and offering a great congratulatory gift for the successful convening of the 20th CPC National Congress!
